How to stamp and sign a document at the same time
A signature says a person agreed. A company stamp says the organisation did. Plenty of documents want both, and the usual process puts them on in two separate operations, sometimes days apart, which is how you end up with a stamped page and a signed page that do not obviously belong to each other. Doing both in one pass and sealing the result binds them to the same document and the same moment.
Design your company stamp or seal now. Round seals, dated stamps and approval marks, with a date that fills itself in and a serial number that never repeats. Free to design, and it goes straight onto a PDF, a Word file or an Excel sheet.

How to stamp and sign a document at the same time, step by step
- Open the document, PDF, Word or Excel. It is laid out as written, so a .docx contract does not need converting first.
- Place the signature, Drawn, typed, or an uploaded photo of your signature on paper, with the background dropped automatically.
- Place the stamp next to it, Company seal, approval mark, or a logo stamp. A stamp with a transparent centre can sit over the signature or the text without hiding either, which is how a real overlapping seal looks.
- Apply to one page or all of them, then seal, A contract usually wants the stamp on every page and the signature on the execution page. One hash covers the finished document, so the stamp, the signature and the text stand or fall together.
What you get
- One pass, one sealed file, one audit record covering both marks.
- A transparent stamp overlaps the text the way a physical seal does.
- Stamp every page while signing only the page that needs signing.
- The stamp dates itself and carries a serial that does not repeat.
- Works on Word and Excel documents, not just PDFs.
Frequently asked questions
Can I put a logo stamp on a contract?
Yes. Upload the logo, and it becomes a stamp you can place anywhere on the document, at any size and opacity. On a contract the convention is a company seal near the signature block, and on every page where the parties want initials.
How do I add a transparent stamp to a PDF?
Use a stamp with a transparent centre, which is the normal form for a round seal: the ring, the text and the border print, and the middle lets the document through. It can then overlap the signature or the text without obscuring anything.
Can I stamp every page of a PDF?
Yes. Choose all pages rather than the current one. For a long agreement this is common practice, because it makes page substitution obvious.
Does the stamp go on before or after the signature?
It does not matter here, because both are applied before the document is sealed. What matters is that the seal covers the finished document, so nothing can be added afterwards without verification failing.
What PDF Verified is, and what it is not
A stamp identifies who issued a document. It is evidence rather than a formality that makes a document binding on its own, and it should only ever be made and applied for a business or an office you are authorised to act for: a mark that imitates another organisation in order to pass a document off as theirs is forgery in most places. Where a registry, a bank or a counterparty requires a particular form of seal, that requirement comes from them.
PDF Verified is a tool for preparing, signing, stamping and checking documents. It is not a law firm, a compliance service or a forensic examiner, and nothing here is legal, financial or compliance advice. Requirements differ by country, by document type and by the party asking, so check what applies to your document before you rely on it, and take advice where the document matters. You are responsible for the documents you create, sign and send, and for having the authority to do so: signing or stamping in somebody else name, or as an organisation you do not represent, is forgery whatever tool is used. To the extent the law allows, we accept no liability for how a document made with this tool is used or relied on. The full position is in our terms of service.
