What is Approval Stamp?

A stamp — typically "APPROVED" — applied to mark that a document has passed review and is authorised to proceed.

An approval stamp records that a reviewer or authority has signed off on a document: an invoice, a drawing, a purchase order, a contract. Digitally, an approval stamp does more than mark the page — it captures who approved, when, and (with serialization) a unique approval number that can be cited and verified. PDF Verified approval stamps can be serialized so each "APPROVED No. 00042" is auditable and tied to the exact document and approver.

Approval workflows

Place an approval stamp field assigned to the approver. When they apply it, the action is logged with their identity, timestamp, IP (if enabled), and an incrementing serial — giving finance, procurement, or engineering a clean, citable approval record on the document itself.

Serialized approvals

Turn on serialization with a prefix (e.g. PO-, INV-) and every approval gets a sequential number. The serial, the document, and the approver are all reachable from the stamp's public QR verification link.
