Frequently asked questions
Can you really edit the text in a PDF?
Yes. The text you click is the text in the file, and rewriting it replaces the original drawing instruction rather than hiding it. That is why the rest of the line stays where it was and why the old words are not still underneath.
Will my edit match the rest of the document?
Where the PDF’s own font can represent the characters you typed, your text is set in that font at the original size and position. Where it cannot, the editor falls back to a standard face and tells you it did.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. It is opened, edited and rebuilt entirely in your browser tab. Nothing is transmitted, so there is no server copy of your document.
Do I need an account?

Can I fill in a form that has no fillable fields?

What about scanned PDFs?
